Snail Mail. It's very cool, in case you hadn't heard.

Jake told Ellie that he was mailing the kids each a letter. She was soooo excited the rest of the day and kept asking when the letters would come. I told her it would still be several days, but the next morning she ran out to the mailbox anyway. I was so afraid to see her crestfallen face, but...miracle...she did receive some mail! It wasn't from Daddy, but from cousins Mya and Wynn.

They had sent the kids some beautiful art projects. Z and Eleanor were quite impressed and incredibly happy. That mail was a perfect blessing for Ellie, in particular.

Several days later the letters from Daddy came. The kids felt special to have their own individual letter. They were carried everywhere. Zeke's was ruined by milk and footprints in the car. Ellie cherished hers and has it hanging in her room. Roxy's is by the bathroom mirror so she can see it each morning.

The kids wanted to send Daddy letters. Here is Roxy mailing them out. Hopefully Dad will know amid the scribbles and wrinkles just how much love was sent in those letters.
